Patricia (Patty) Joan Armstrong-Bolle, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving sons and close family in Haslett at the age of 74. Born on September 30, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan, Patricia moved to Haslett with her family at the age of four where she continued to reside for 70 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Joseph Nierzwick and Donna Marie Nierzwick (Schaffer) of Haslett; second husband Daniel Bolle of Bellaire, MI and brother-in-law William Patino of Lansing, MI.
Patricia graduated from Haslett High School and remained very close to a special group of friends from the class of 1968. She was an avid sports fan with a passion for Michigan State University, the Detroit Lions and Tigers, and all of Haslett School sports. More than anything, she enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports over the years, particularly football, baseball, and wrestling.
She loved oceans, being around water, pontoon rides, lighthouses, outdoor photography, laying by her pool in the sun, and spending time with her friends and family. She loved reading, playing cards, bowling, playing golf, and just being surrounded by people. She enjoyed traveling with her family and some of her favorite vacation spots included Hawaii, Alaska, Las Vegas, Toronto, Disney World and times spent up North at Horsehead Lake and Intermediate Lake.
This past year, Patty was able to knock off one of her last bucket items off her list which was to see the Aurora Borealis. Her son Jason and girlfriend Breanna Bukowski (Haslett) dragged her out of bed in the middle of the night to see. It was always a lifelong dream of hers to see this phenomenon and she was able to see this perfectly on two separate occasions.
Patricia was a strong, independent woman with a hard work-ethic and a very outgoing personality. She was loyal and caring to her friends and loved her family more than anything in the world. She worked as an insurance audit consultant for Russell Tolly and for the Dykema-Gossett law firm as a litigation assistant before starting her career in the real estate appraisal and property tax assessing industry. She held positions at Great Lakes Appraisal and Area Inc before starting her own company from scratch (Appraisal Valuation Services) in 1995. She was very well respected by her peers earning her Level IV assessors license, the highest level you can achieve, through the International Association of Assessors and also served as Treasurer and President of the Mid-Michigan Chapter Appraisal Institute.
Patricia was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Martha Parish for many years and devoted to the Catholic Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Haslett and donated her time to many charities and food banks over the years.
Patricia is survived by her sons Jason Armstrong of Haslett and Joe (Lisa) Armstrong of Bath, step-daughter Michelle (Matt) Perkins of Bellaire; sister Diane Patino of Lansing; nephew Nicholas Patino of Belleville; grandchildren Madison (Nathan) Vermillion, Luke Armstrong, Caulton Armstrong, Alex Perkins, Tess Perkins, Matilda Perkins, and great-grandchildren Benjamin and Amelia (on her way) Vermillion.
