Patricia "Patty" Berg

Patricia “Patty” Marie Berg passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2016. She was born November 12, 1959 in Bay City, Michigan to Edward and Maxine (LeBourdais) Kopka. She worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse, and her dedication to her patients and their care was evident to everyone. Patty had an open heart and an open home for anyone who needed her, and she shared that love by giving the best hugs. Patty’s faith was her anchor in life, and she strived every day to be a light to the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Mary Cook. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sarah, Emily, and Micheal Berg; her sister, Beverly (Daniel) Heinz; her nieces and nephews, Alexee Rhodes, Brian Cook and Aaron Cook; her stepmother, Virginia Kopka; her step-sister, Sandra Cericola; and the many people who touched her life at Mount Hope Church. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 11:00am at Mount Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Patty’s honor to her children, care of Sarah Berg. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Chapel.
