Patricia Susan Brogan

Patricia James Brogan went home to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, December 31, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, David Brogan, daughter Michele (Randy) Meador, St. Jo, TX, son Greg (Chrissie) Brogan, East Lansing, son Eric (Joanie) Brogan, East Lansing, son Andrew (Carole) Brogan, Okemos, 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Patricia was born in Middlebury, Vermont to Richard and Marjory James and raised on the now 4th generation Monument Dairy Farms in Weybridge. She was very proud of her Vermont heritage. She attended Michigan State University and worked for the YWCA of Elkhart, IN and Lansing after graduation. At MSU she met the love of her life, David Brogan. They were married for 64 wonderful years. Pat and Dave raised their four children with a commitment to church, family and community. Pat loved and served as a member of The Peoples Church for 60 years. She also volunteered with Junior League, Meals on Wheels, Christian Services and the Lansing Symphony Association. She enjoyed the East Lansing Garden Club, nature walks, choral music, tennis and golf. Pat and Dave have many friends and were the first to welcome newcomers to East Lansing. They opened their home to numerous MSU students through the years with whom they still remain in contact. Pat will be remembered in the Glencairn neighborhood for 50 years of her Santa's Cookie Tree. It is impossible to list the many programs Pat initiated and generous gifts and service she gave to organizations and individuals. Her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren who love God and their families and serve their communities with sincere dedication.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023, 11am, at The Peoples Church. 200 W. Grand River, E. Lansing MI. Visitation at 9:30 am and a luncheon afterwards in the Peoples Church Social Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Peoples Church (thepeopleschurch.com), the Davies Project (thedaviesproject.org), Fenner Nature Center (mynaturecenter.org) or the Lansing Symphony Orchestra (lansingsymphony.org).
