Patricia Ann Monahan

She graduated from Michigan State College and was a proud member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She made many dear friends at State and best of all, she met her perfect mate, Charles Edwin Monahan. Pat and Chuck married in Grand Rapids and moved to Grosse Pointe, MI where Chuck worked as a manufacturer’s representative in the auto industry. Later in life, they moved back to Pat’s home town of Grand Rapids, where Pat’s mom, sister and many old friends surrounded them. Pat Monahan was one in a million. She shared her warm smile with everyone she met. Her life was filled with true love for nature, music, anyone’s baby, a beer and a burger (and the occasional martini), dear friends (many lifelong), and especially her family. She was one classy lady, who always had a smile and a song up to the very end. She was gracious, sweet, kind and a great deal of fun.

Pat is survived by her children, Mike (Lisa), Tom (Linny) and Kathy (Jim) Lammers, grandchildren Carson, Kimmy, Sarah, Annie, William, Patty, Charlie, Brian, Andy and Tommy, her great granddaughter Harper and many other dear relatives.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory may be made to Hospice of Lansing or the Burcham Hills Foundation. A celebration of Pat’s life will take place at a later date.
