Patricia E. (Findlay) Weil, age 92, passed from this life on July 30, 2019 after a long battle with dementia while residing at the Brookdale Memory Care facilities in Saginaw, Michigan and recently in Haslett, Michigan. Pat was a dedicated mother to David, Daniel and Darcy Evon and wife to Conrad “Bill” Weil Jr., the love of her life. Her creativity, passion, artistic talents and love of nature were obvious to all who knew her. She especially enjoyed wood carving and blessing her family with her hand-made creations.
Born in Saginaw to Jesse Alden Findlay and Mildred Blanch (Delaney) Findlay, Pat grew up with seven fun-loving brothers and sisters. Her close-knit family enjoyed frequent travels to northern Michigan and regularly socialized at family outings.
Pat graduated from high school and trade school in Saginaw after mastering bookkeeping, shorthand and typing. Throughout most of her life, she was a bookkeeper/accountant and then a real estate agent.
Pat loved to play cards as well as golf, hike, dance, and in her earlier years; hunt and ski. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the world, taking special delight in learning about new cultures, meeting people and visiting new places. She was very outgoing and loved to have fun wherever she ventured!
In the late 1960s, Patricia began her courtship with Bill Weil, and they married in 1977. Throughout their five decades together, they celebrated life by traveling to Europe, Asia and South America. Pat and Bill met while living in Saginaw and moved to Seoul, South Korea in the 1980s when Bill was the Chief Engineer on a joint General Motors and Daewoo Motors car venture. They later enjoyed being “snowbirds” by living in St. Pete Beach, Florida during the winter months each year and in a cottage on the Au Sable river outside of Grayling, Michigan during the summer months. In 2006, they moved back to Saginaw.
Patricia is survived by her husband Conrad "Bill" Weil Jr, her children: Darcy Evon and Daniel (Suzanne Morgan) Evon, stepchildren: Lindsay Weil, Geoff (Connie) Weil, her grandchildren Stacey (Anthony) Nye, Kristin (Jerwarn) LeSueur, Jessica Henry, Nicholas Evon, Alicia (Jamen) Winters, Jason (Carry) Weil, and Brian Weil, and great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law Ruth Findlay, and her brothers Wayne (Sally) Findlay and Ray (Cindy) Findlay.
