Bob was a resident of East Lansing for over 30 years and a member of St. Martha Parish. A retired accountant, he was also the former owner/operator of Caruso’s Candy & Ice Cream in the Meridian Mall. He loved to travel, play golf and board games and listen to music and watch TV. Bob was a Parrot Head to the extent that he named his daughter after Jimmy Buffett’s daughter.
Preceded in death by his parents, Bob is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karen Pruett Rutherford; daughter, Delaney Rutherford; brother, William (Jackie) Rutherford; sister, Mary Myers and several nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
Visitation at Gorsline Runciman East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing, Friday from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass at St. Mary Cathedral, 219 Seymour, Lansing, Saturday at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing.
