Robert E. Traub

Robert E. Traub, age 69, died August 29, 2014. He was born September 3, 1944 in East Detroit, MI to Stephen and Lorraine (Gerwin) Traub. Robert graduated from East Detroit High School in 1962. After graduating from Evangel University (1968) in Springfield, Missouri, he honorably served in the U.S. Army Military Police in Germany. Robert was a member of First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing for 42 years and involved in several ministries over the years. He retired from the State of MichiganI as an Auditor and had many loves in his life. He dearly loved his family and grandchildren putting their needs above his own; he loved tending to his garden, especially his roses; he loved having coffee with the guys; and shopping/planning the weekly grocery trip on Sunday afternoons. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife of 41 years Patricia (Boucha); son, Jason (Lulama) Traub; daughter, Amy (Jarrod) Beaty; 4 grandchildren, Katelyn, Jacob, Elisabeth, and Lauryn Beaty; 3 sisters, Carol (Jim) O’Malley; Kristine (Lee) Willard; and Sharon (Gregory) Greene; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing, 2717 West Road, East Lansing, MI 48823 with Pastor Curt Dalaba officiating. Interment will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens, Westland, MI. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing – Missions, 2717 West Road, East Lansing, MI 48823.
