Stella R. Kinney

Stella R. Kinney died Friday, July 24, 2015 at the age of 91. She was born to Peter and Catherine (Feldpausch) Schmitz on June 26, 1924. She married Thomas D. Kinney on August 17, 1978 and spent 36 years with him until he passed away on November 10, 2014. Stella worked at Oldsmobile for 33 years as an executive secretary. After her retirement in 1980 she volunteered at the hospital as a gray lady. Stella was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in East Lansing. Stella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas and four siblings: Agnes (Tom) Faivor, Stanley (Patricia) Schmitz, Richard (Fay) Schmitz and Eletha Schmitz. She is survived by seven siblings: Freda (Ed) Bauer, Donald (Mary-Louise) Schmitz, Hilary (Marcia) Schmitz, Justin (Sharon) Schmitz, Eunice (Clare) Pung, Peter (Marcia) Schmitz and Maurice (Darlene) Schmitz.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at a later date.
