Steven Lewis DeCess was born on June 30, 1960 in Lansing, the son of the late Shirley Leroy and Elizabeth (Karber) DeCess, and passed away May 15, 2015 at the age of 54. He worked for 20 years at General Motors. He loved outdoor activities, especially hunting and snowmobiling. Steven was an all-around great person who made all feel like a friend. He very much enjoyed spending time with his children and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Kylee Renae and Cierra Nicole; grandson, Avery Alijah; numerous nieces and nephews; two brothers, Robert (Marvel) and Michael; and sister, Shirley Jean (Keith) Marchek. There will be a Private Memorial Service held at a later date. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing Chapel.
