

Susan was later married to Paul Anderson Crandell in Lansing Michigan. She attended Michigan State University and became a nurse. As soon as she had children, she became a stay at home mother.
She lived in Saint Johns, MI but also spent winters in Cape Coral, Florida. The family spent many summer weekends up north in Lake, Michigan creating many special memories..
Susan’s hobbies and interests included quality time with her family, reading, searching for shells on beaches in Florida, and kicking back and relaxing with her family up north. Her favorite hobby was being with the people she loved, her husband, kids and grandkids!
Susan was loving and always thought about everyone else, constantly trying to make things better and easier for the people she loved. She always put others first, always being supportive of her family. She loved to laugh. She loved to spend time with her family and see everyone happy. She was honest, loved hugs and kisses, she liked to read, play games and she was always whistling.
Susan is survived by her husband Paul Anderson Crandell, her children Sara Elizabeth Crandell Lewis (Tom Lewis); Erin Marie Crandell-Alden (John Alden); Bret Anderson Crandell (Kristina Crandell) her grandchildren Tuesday Elizabeth Lewis, Elliott Marie Alden, Drew Crandell Alden, Emma Susan Crandell, and Abby Marie Crandell.
There will be a memorial service to commemorate and celebrate Susan’s life on December 15, 2023 from 4-8 pm at Gorsline-Runciman East Lansing Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
