I don't have a memory to share, as you & I never got the chance to meet. I’m a friend of your son.  He misses you dearly, and tells me about his memories with you and what you were like. I wish you & I had met. I know you were a wonderful mom & an absolute riot, enjoying life to the fullest while always putting family first. Alas, I feel privileged just to hear the stories. Shoutout to Pat and the whole family, who continue to keep your spirit alive. Rest in peace 🕊

I will always remember Vicki smiling and laughing. I was small when I lived near the McPharlin's in Lansing, but we had many camping trips when all of "the neighborhood kids" were growing up and I'll never forget them. Vicki had a wonderful sense of humor. I suppose raising 4 boys, you have to. :-) 

She was a close friend to my mother for so many years. I know she will be missed by many here on earth, but I can say without a doubt that she will be welcomed into her next adventure with laughter and love. 

My thoughts go out to Pat, Patrick, Timothy, Steven, Brian and the rest of the family.

Pat so sorry to hear of your wife's passing. I remember the first time I met her . We were in 10th grade and three or four of us stopped by your house to see what you were doing that night. Dear Pat and family,
I mourn the loss of Vicki along with you.  She was such a fabulous and cheerful administrator in Biochemistry at MSU, like a department mom as well as a great colleague.  I fondly remember her joking correspondence (about the -30 weather in East Lansing vs. the +80 weather in San Diego) as I was getting ready to join the department.  Vicki did so much to support all her Biochemistry family as well as her own family with cheer and talent and great parties.  Such a lovely person.

My condolences to the McPharlin family. I as a former neighbor know this is a great loss to a tightly knit family that loves each other deeply. I pray that love and memories bring you the peace that Vicki would want you all to have. God bless.

A lot of years have passed since our wonderful days at MSU, but our memories are still with us. Who could forget our marathon Euchre games?  We laughed so much.

Carol and I were saddened to learn of Vicki's passing.  We shared many good times at MSUFCU events and got lot's of good parenting advice over the years.  She was always fun to be around and we certainly were blessed to get to know her.
