Wayne M. Shook

Wayne Shook, age 75, went Home to be with his Lord and Saviour on February 2, 2016 in West Palm Beach Florida after a battle with cancer. Born and raised in Sturgis MI, he served in the United States Army before teaching at Muskegon Heights Public Schools, until he retired and moved to Okemos MI. Wayne was an extremely skilled house painter his whole life. Wayne was active in the Lion's club and received the Lions Club Melvin Jones Fellow Award for Dedicated Humanitarian Services. He also loved playing baseball and softball, and was an AVID bluegill fisherman. He is preceded in death by his wife Diane (Miller) Shook. He is survived by his son Brad Shook and wife Michelle Shook and children Maiti, Brendan and Gabrielle, daughter Beth Shook and children Brody, Baleigh and Brenna Kieft and son Brian Shook and children Jaxen and Dylan Shook. He is also survived by his wife of 15 years Kathryn (Mayer) Shook, daughters Sarah (Mayer) Manier and husband Greg and children Anderson and Hattie and Anna (Mayer) Mueller, husband Ryan and children Luke, Alex and McKenzie as well as many, many dear friends.
