

William H. Cruse, 90, of East Lansing (formerly Okemos, Traverse City and Siesta Key, FL) died on Dec. 15, 2016. Bill was born on April 6, 1926, in Jackson, Michigan, graduated from Sexton High School Lansing, Michigan in January 1945. He served in the Navy from 1945 –1946, and then received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from MSU in 1950.
Owner of Tape Recording Industries and then Cruse Communications until his retirement in 1992. His customers were important to him and his integrity was beyond question.
He was a member of the Haslett-Okemos Rotary, Michigan Pilots & Owners Association, International Television Association, Civil Air Patrol, EAA and the Bald Eagles. Throughout his lifetime his interests were: pistol shooting competitions, flying his airplane, ham radio, photography, and boating. He was a voracious reader, and was known for his ability to fix anything.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Joan (Force) Cruse; son, Robert (LuAnn) Cruse; daughter, Marjorie Cruse and granddaughter, Carley Rose Cruse. He was predeceased by his parents William R. Cruse & Gladys (Long) Cruse. He will be truly missed by his family, who will always remember him for his kindness and unconditional love.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
