Born on May 17, 1947 in Beirut, Lebanon, Zaven Albert came to the United States with his parents when he was 13, later earning advanced degrees as a mechanical engineer and as a dental ceramist. Surrounded by his loved ones, he passed away on March 5, 2015.
He is survived by his wife Monica, their three sons Zaven Christopher (Rachael), Krikor Stepan, Hagop Daniel, his granddaughter Allayna, cousin Ani Malek, and mother-in-law Sandra Minock.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823 with visitation one hour prior. The family will also receive friends Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823. A rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made to St. Thomas Aquinas School Scholarship Fund.
