Always enjoyed visiting and working with Archie.  It is hard to realize he has been gone for 2 years.  Rest in Peace, partner.  You are sincerely missed.  God Bless.

I had the pleasure of working with Archie for years.  He was a most positive, fun and caring person.  A fine man!  My condolences to Archie’s family and friends.

I have known and loved Archie and Deloris since we met!!   What a special guy, who ‘didn’t care if we agreed with him or not’.😍
But we did!  He led by example and did so much for so many when needed!  Then continuing his service daily with Habitat !!
He cared for the old, but said the youth were more important to our future and to care for them.  His personality didn’t exactly ‘light up the room’ when he walked in, but that grin said so much and drew people around him.The last few times I was there, he had discovered new things in the Bible and tried explaining to me!  I wish I was there today, I would have so much more to share!  💞                       
Like how it was as important for those of  us that cleaned  the toilets as to teach a class!  Yes, he told me that in 1980 on University St.


I knew Archie mostly from my younger years at the church. As a kid I remember he always had a unique presence. Despite his looming height, he was one of the most approachable people and always had a smile and kind word to share. As a young adult I never knew when he might have some helpful advice or even some admonishing words (usually initiated by a firm, but friendly, hand on the shoulder, lol). He must have taken interest in, and ministered to so many. I'll always remember his generosity, his can-do attitude and his contagious positive outlook.

Archie was a bright light in my life.  An elder in my home church for all of the years I worshipped there.  A kind, gentle and wise soul.  I had no idea he played instruments and wrote music.  I wish I had spent more time with him and Delores.  May God comfort Delores, Jeff and Lisa.  Well done, good and faithful servant.  I’ll see you in heaven.  ✝️

I have many good memories of times spent with Archie.  I served as elder for the congregation at Northwest and spent many hours with Archie and the others.  I enjoyed spending time with him on fishing trips to Minnesota and enjoyed spending time with him discussing and playing music with our guitars.  Archie was the kind of man who would do anything to help others when they  had need.  A prime example was when he came to my home on July 4th to help me dig and replace a sewer pipe that had collapsed and was causing me a lot of problems.  He never complained - just pitched in and helped me fix our problem.  Thinking of and remembering Archie brings a smile to my face. 
Delores, God bless you, Lisa, and Jeff as you grieve the loss of your husband and father.  May you find solace in II Timothy 4:7-8.

I met Archie at Habitat for Humanity 19 years ago and consider him a mentor and great friend. We spent many hours together working on Habitat houses and solving the problems of the world. Archie was one of the most generous individuals I have ever known and would respond to anyone’s request for help. I and many others will miss good “old” Archie and his friendly and giving personality. May he rest in peace with the Lord’s blessing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Delores and family.

Several years ago Archie and I where able to spend 2 weeks in Ghana working with the brethren there.  We both learned a.lot about the work in Ghana and had some very good conversations. May the family remember all the good times with him as we all look forward to being with Jesus.

Archie was a special man to my family.
We knew him for 16 years.
