Barbara E. Payne

She was born Sept. 19, 1937 in Peoria to Omer and Evelyn (Sylvester) Payne. She married Donald Yoder on May 5, 1961. They later divorced.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Angela (Chris) Kemp of Bloomington, Andrea (Jim) Eddy of Texas; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her sister, Bonnie Schofield of Peoria and 3 nieces. Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Kirk Yoder; and brother, Randy Payne.

Barb worked at Caterpillar Inc., later as a real estate agent for many years, and retired from sales at Leath Furniture. She attended Northwoods Community Church in Peoria.

She enjoyed books and music. Her main love in life was her family.

Funeral Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with Pastor John Chaney officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Private Graveside Services will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
