

She was born May 23, 1922 in Peoria to J. Elmer and Emma (Duhs) Prill. She married Arthur C. Grebner Nov. 21, 1944 in Metamora. He passed away Nov. 6, 1983 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, James Grebner, and one brother, Dr. Clarence Prill.
Survivors include one son David A. Grebner of Peoria Heights, one daughter, Marjorie (Harold) Welsch of Secor, one granddaughter, Caroline (Derek) McBeath of Bloomington, two grandsons: Henry (and his fiancée Deanna Kindhart) Welsch of East Peoria, Hadley (Heidi) Welsch of El Paso, and seven great-grandchildren.
Bernice was an Astrologer and author of eight books on Astrology, including The Day of Your Birth. She was active for many years in the American Federation of Astrologers.
Her biggest passion was music. She began taking piano lessons at the age of three. She composed light classical music. For years she performed her music for local groups and organizations. Aside from astrology, she enjoyed observing and studying the stars and the heavens.
Funeral services will be Saturday Jan. 8, 2011 at 5 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
Memorials may be made in Bernice’s name to the Forest Park Nature Center in Peoria.
