
She was born March 4, 1915 in Peoria to William Hector and Josephine (Crapo) Lewis. She married James C. Rodgers in Peoria. He passed away March 7, 1972 in St. Petersburg, FL. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Debra (Edward) Lasater-Eppy of Metamora, one granddaughter, Raquel (James) Chapai of East Peoria, three great-grandchildren: Michael, Paige, Lil Jay, and one great-granddaughter, Laura.
Peggy worked at the Pekin Distillary during WWII. Following that she had multiple jobs in the Peoria area. She was also a Foster Grandparent, traveled with the Bnai Brith Road Show, and played with the Pekin Letts Softball team. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and teaching Hawaiian dancing. Her greatest love was her family and grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A family memorial service will be at a later date. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
