She was born on March 13, 1928 in Peoria to John and Mary (Eutsch) Singley. She married Doyle J. Ford on April 27, 1946 and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her two daughters, Marsha (George) Messer of California and Angie Smith of Arizona; two granddaughters, Michelle Liotta and Nicholle Messer both of California; and one great-granddaughter, Karsen Liotta.
Cecelia worked as a secretary at Caterpillar until retiring in 1982. She was an avid volunteer and loved to spend time with her friends and family.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor Dick Chamberlain will officiate.
Visitation will be held an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Historic Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude.
