David Lee Everett

Born March 16, 1948, in Peoria, IL to Robert and Esther (Walter) Everett; he married Meredith A. Turner on August 27, 1967. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2016 in Peoria.

Also preceding in death were his parents; son, David; daughters, Lori and Melissa Everett; grandson, Rubin Flores; sisters, Alice, Carol and Midge Everett; and brother, Bruce Everett.

Surviving are his children, Michelle (Dale) Gillick and Robbie (Tabitha) Everett; grandchildren, Laura and Jadelyn Everett, David Strickfaden, Joey and Chris Gillick; great grandchildren, Carlos, Mariana, Oscar, Fernando, Jace, Isabella and Amy Joy; and siblings, Sherry Elizondo, Diane Alvarez, Terry, Timbo, Mike, Artie and Karen Everett.

David was a display designer and driver for Pepsi in Peoria and also worked at Steak-N-Shake. He volunteered at Share Foods in Peoria.

David enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and WWE Wrestling, Westerns, and game shows. He bowled in the MADD league at St. Ann Church.

He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and was fond of playing games with granddaughter Laura.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2023 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.
