Donna Jean Teffner

She was born on August 13, 1940 in Peoria, to Daniel and Betty (Evans) Hart. She married Frederick J. Teffner on June 2, 1967, he survives.

Also surviving are her two daughters, Danielle Gleason of Gilbert, AZ, and Jill (Keith) Underwood of Franklin, KY; adopted daughter, Lisa Slocum; one sister, Patricia Jenkins of Red Oak, TX; two grandchildren, Taylor and Jake Underwood; niece and nephew, Adrienne (Wayne) Evans and Jason (Jennifer) Jenkins; and great-nieces, Jamie Evans, Gabrielle Evans, and Kailea Jenkins and one great-nephew, Kaden Jenkins.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents.

Donna worked as a cook with District 86 for over 15 years before retiring. She enjoyed floral gardening, cooking, Solitaire, Pinochle, ceramics, painting figurines and bowling.

Cremation will be accorded and Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Davis Brothers Pizza in East Peoria. Remmert Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.
