Dorothy E. Evans

Born March 26, 1920 in Osceola, IL to Frank L. and Minnie (Elbing) Hill; she married George Evans on February 14, 1965 at the First Baptist Church in East Peoria and he survives.

Also surviving are her son, Michael Evans of East Peoria; her sister, Bonnie (Russell) Espinoza of Manito and 3 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Marlene Ganson, whom she raised like her daughter, one brother and two sisters.

Dorothy was a very active member of First Baptist Church of East Peoria, participating in all aspects of the life of the church.

For many years, she operated her own beauty shop out of her home.

Dorothy loved everyone she ever met, always sought harmony in every situation and will be missed by all who knew her.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with the Rev. Cheri Grizzard officiating and visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Morton.
