Lonnie was born March 15, 1950 in Peoria, the son of Edward and Rosalie Smith Taylor. He married Georgette Krencik on February 9, 1990.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years; his children, Steven (Amy) Taylor of Peoria, Kimberly Taylor of Washington, Tonya Burke of Tremont, Tiffanie Turner of Georgia, Kristin Snyder of Princeville, and Zachary (Lena) Taylor of Peoria; son-in-law Ronnie Ochoa; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sherry Taylor of East Peoria.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents.
He was a repairman on TP&W Railroad for 10 years. He then was a Facility Manager at Midstate College until his retirement in 2012.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday, February 5, 2016 at Remmert Funeral Home.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to the family for expenses.
