Eunice E. Martin

Born Oct. 16, 1920 in Lamar, MO to Louis R. and Olive (Cordill) Marti. She married Raymond V. Martin in Lacrosse, IN on June 17, 1959. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are four step children, Dean Martin, Janice (Marshall) Heinold, Kathleen (Morrie) Zimmerman, Thomas (Jessica) Martin; 16 step-grandchildren; many step-great and great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Charles, Donald, and Roland, and one sister, Polly Schrock.

Eunice worked at Martin Furniture in East Peoria before retiring. She was a member of the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church. She loved her Lord dearly.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church on Sheridan Road with the church ministers officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Eureka Apostolic Christian Nursing Home in Eureka, with further visitation from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eureka Apostolic Christian Nursing Home or to the Apostolic Christian World Relief Fund for Mexico.
