John H. Wall Jr.

John was born on September 20, 1949 in Peoria, IL to John H. and Marion (Cantrell) Wall, Sr. He married Helen Rae Abel on March 8, 1980 in Peoria.

John is survived by his wife, Helen; his two sons, John Wall of East Peoria, IL and Jason Wall of Colorado; two brothers, Bill Wall of Charleston, IL and Sam (Elizabeth) Wall of S. Pekin, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arthur.

John served in the United States Army. He worked for the Peoria Riverplex for over 12 years. John was a member of the Handyman Club of America and he enjoyed woodworking, collecting motors, and working on cars.

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 1pm at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with visitation held one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. Craig Dawson and Rev. Harry Ellison will be officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the Riverplex Silver Sneakers Program.
