

From 1957 to 1959, Kenneth proudly served as a member of the United States Army during which time he demonstrated his dedication to his country with the Army Corps of Engineers as they worked to construct the power structures for the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley, California.
In 1961 Kenneth was married to the love of his life, Lila Thomas, with whom he shared a life filled with love and companionship.
Kenneth committed the remainder of his professional career to working as an electrician for Caterpillar, where he was known for his commitment and expertise.
In his personal life, Kenneth found peace & joy in the simple things. He held a deep passion for gardening & landscaping which was evident in the exceptional care with which he maintained his yard. He was also an avid participant in the Fon du Lac Golf League for both men & couples. When Kenneth wasn't working in his yard or out on the course, he was cherishing the time spent with family.
Kenneth is succeeded by his wife Lila Thomas of Flanagan Illinois, his son Kent Thomas of Schaumburg Illinois, his grandchildren, Ryan Thomas of Flat Rock Tennessee & Blake Thomas of Des Moine Iowa, as well as three siblings: Terry Thomas of East Peoria Illinois, Danny Thomas of Canon City, Colorado, & Fred Thomas of Springhill, Louisiana.
Proceeding him in death are his parents, Samuel & Hazel Thomas, his brothers, Samuel, Don, & Bill, as well as his sisters, Juanita, Marguerite, & Aloma.
Kenneth Thomas will be remembered for his contributions and the love he shared with those around him.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Remmert Funeral Home.
