

He was born September 1, 1959 in Peoria to Kenneth and Jane (Taylor) Hamann. He married Alisa Rhoades in 2008 in East Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Sarah Hamann of Denver, CO and Charles Boyd of Pekin; three step children, Nathan, Corey, and Brady Davis all of East Peoria; six grandchildren, Kelsie, Kailie, Dylan, Brinlee, Aubreigh, and Alizza; one great grandchild, Willow; and five siblings, Pam Dowds of Pekin, Dennis Hamann of Peoria, Mark (Aileen) Hamann of Palm Coast, FL, Gwen (Tim) Bradley, and Gail "Gigi" (Roy) Griffith both of East Peoria.
Kirk was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Roger Dowds; and his mother-in-law, Jacqueline Rhoades.
Kirk worked as a construction laborer with Laborers International Union Local 165 in Peoria. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and just being outdoors. He also loved to spend time with his family and always seemed to have a project going. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and brother.
A service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 23, 2021 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Burial will follow the service at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
