

Lewis "Alan" Parker, 83, of East Peoria, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 31, 1941 in Ripley, a son of Robert Peter and Wilma Elizabeth (Ham) Parker. Alan married Judy M. Lightbody on October 17, 1997 in Tazewell County. She survives.
He is also survived by his three children, Gary (Angie) Parker, Lisa (Ted) Harrison, and Dawn Parker, all of Marquette Heights; three step-children, Renea (Jason) Campbell of Madisonville, Tennessee, Jennifer (John) Jenkins of Vonore, Tennessee, and Robert (Krista) Crowden of Ballplay, Tennessee; his six grandchildren, Trevor, Brandon, Michael, Nathanial, Kyle, and Michael; his three great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Elias, and Elijah; two brothers, John Parker of Mount Sterling and David Parker of Versailles; one sister, Diane Trammel of Green Valley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bobby Parker and Jimmy Parker; one sister, Marilyn Akright.
He graduated from Brown County High School, Class of 1959.
Alan served his country in the United States Navy.
He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in Mossville for 32 years, retiring in 2001.
Alan was an avid bowler and bowled in many leagues over the years. He was a bird watcher. Alan was very social and never knew a stranger. He loved his pet dogs, Pixie, Ginger, Daisy, Trixie, Gertie, Rosie, and Crunch. Alan loved to dance and that is how he met the love of his life.
