Lillian V. Colby

   She was born May 22, 1920 in Chicago to Frank A.B. and Lilli (Guske) Holmes.  She married Walter P. Colby.  He preceded her in death in 1996.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Wayne; brother, Frank H. Holmes and sister, Marthelle Rech.

   Surviving are 5 children, Beverly Nichols of Morton, Norman (Rita) Colby of Jonesborough, TN, Chester (Terry) Colby of Washington, Dale (Susan) Colby of Morton, Allan (Linda) Colby of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

   Lillian worked as an assembler for K.L. Burgett in Peoria before retiring.  She attended Bayview Baptist Church in Washington.

   Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.  Funeral Services to follow at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Keith Thibo officiating.  Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
