Linda Jo Cherry

She was born August 11, 1959 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Lila (Gray) Simmons. She married Thomas Cherry on March 17, 2000 in Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving is her daughter, Shannon (Brett) Cokel of East Peoria; three step-sons, Zac (Theresa) Cherry of East Peoria, Drew (Taneka) Cherry of Bloomington and Gabe Cherry of Pekin; ten grandchildren, Vinny, Izzy, Will, Alexa, Carson, Caz, Ace, Dehlila, Desiree, and Cole; and one brother, William Simmons of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda was co-owner of T & L Trucking and will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and sister.

A graveside service will be on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 11:00 am at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Remmert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois in Peoria.
