She was born October 29, 1936 in Elyholler, Knox County Kentucky to Alex H. and Eda (Shelton) Taylor. She married Jerry Wayne Haynes Sr. July 28, 1967 in Dearborn, MI. He survives.
Also surviving are her son, Jerry (Mona) Haynes Jr.; three grandchildren, Amanda (Derek) Widmer, Jerry (Hayley) Haynes, Samantha Haynes; one great-grandson, Jerry Haynes; one sister, Imogene (Frank) Baker; one brother, Steve (Beth) Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Broughton; and three brothers, Curtis, Kay and Roy Taylor.
Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be very much missed by everyone who knew her. She loved to sew, play cards, play bingo, fish and spending time with her loved ones.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Glendale Cemetery in Washington, Illinois. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
