Mildred "Millie" V. Crawford

She was born October 4, 1929 in Urbana, IL to Earl and Mary (Travis) Smith and married Orvall Crawford January 1, 1949 in Peoria and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2000.

Also preceding in death were 4 brothers, 2 sisters and her grandson, Troy Morgan.

Millie had a way of making each one of her family feel as if they were her favorite and those who survive include her children, Melodie Crawford and Larry (Patti) Crawford, both of East Peoria, Perry (Jill) Crawford of Groveland, and Linda (Leonard) Franks, also of East Peoria; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Millie worked as a printer at Pekin Community High School for 13 years.

She was a member of Grace Church in Morton.

Millie’s faith was very important to her and through her trust in Jesus Christ she is now in Heaven. She loved her family very much and prayed for them daily.

Visitation will be at 1:30 Friday, March 25, 2016 followed by a funeral service at 2:30 pm all at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in East Peoria.
