Nell "Fran" Re

She was born May 21, 1927 in Monticello, KY to David and Roxie (Koger) Gregory. She married Robert Re on July 29, 1950 in East Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1983. Her parents and one brother, Billy Gregory also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one sister, Joyce Ann Bonner of Berkeley Springs, WV; seven nieces and nephews, Belinda Smith of Hollywood, Florida, David (Charlotte) Richard of Indianapolis, IN, Terry (Steve) Mace of Bloomington, IL, Mark (Dorothy) Richard of Pasadena, MD, Joe (Jodi) Bonner of Berkeley Springs, WV, Mike Gregory of Wisconsin, and Jeff (Lawren) Gregory of Peoria, IL; many great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece Roselynn Tesdall, who she had a special relationship with.

Fran worked in Accounts Payable Department with Caterpillar Inc for over 36 years before retiring. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, the Red Hat Society, Caterpillar Retirees Club and enjoyed playing cards (and winning) with her family and friends. During her fourteen years at Buehler Home Fran had made many friends and built many special relationships. Fran's family would like to thank the staff of Buehler Home for the wonderful care they gave Fran through her many years there.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 17, 2023, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Burial will follow the service at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
