She was born on January 30, 1940 in Blackwell, MO to Alton and Stella Mary (Boyer) Valley. She married Charles “Chuck” Boyd in 1998 in East Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are her husband, Chuck of Peoria Heights, one sister, Marie (Edward) Bishop of Peoria, one brother, Jim Ellis of Tigard, Oregon, one niece, Janet (Michael)Smith of Peoria and one great-nephew Chad Armbruster of East Peoria.
Norma was a member of Bayview Baptist Church in East Peoria.
A service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor Keith D. Thibo will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
