Pat Gibbons

Born Sept. 25, 1932 in East Peoria to Paul and Caroline (Mitzelfelt) Fisher. She married Dale Gibbons in East Peoria on Dec. 18, 1953. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara; and brother, Paul.

Surviving is her daughter, Barbara (Arnold) Benson of Mapleton; four grandchildren, Dale (Cindy) Orr, Brian (Shanna) Orr, Eric (Joey) Benson, Caroline Benson; six great grandchildren, Joshua Orr, Taylor Benson, Trinati Benson, Sarah Orr, Daniel Orr, Chase Benson; three brothers, Jerry, Fred, Butch; one sister, Madie Gilchrist; step granddaughter, Stephanie Bucco; four step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pat worked for Fisher Dental Lab before retiring. She was a former Girl Scout Leader, and was a member of the Creve Coeur Christian Church.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011 at Creve Coeur Christian Church in Creve Coeur, with Rev. John Plunkett officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, with further visitation 30 minutes before services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
