Patricia A. Hagel

Patricia Hagel, 89, of East Peoria, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. She was born on May 6, 1926 in Armington, Illinois to Walton and Mildred (Helmtz) Jones. She married Willis Hagel on January 25, 1957 in Peoria, Illinois. He survives.

Also surviving is one son, Scott Hagel of Peoria and two daughters, Kathy (Ted) Klopp of Sebastapol, California and Ann Charvat of Nashville, Tennessee, one step son, Matthew Hagel of Richland, South Carolina and one step daughter, Susan (Joe) Beam of Charlotte, North Carolina. She has five grandchildren, six step grandchildren and three great grandchildren and one sister, Jackie Groth of Armington, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Janet Howard.

She was a graduate of Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Peoria in 1947, she worked at Methodist Hospital and later for the Visiting Nurses Association of Peoria for 24 years.

A celebration of her life will be at 2 PM Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, Illinois. Visitation will be one hour prior to the celebration at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at a later date in the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
