Patricia "Pat" Joan Lowery

Pat was born on March 26, 1932 in Peoria to Henry W. and Gladys E. (Shaw) Wetzel. She married James “Jim” Lowery on June 8, 1952. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2004. Also preceding her in death are her parents and her brother, Dale S. Wetzel. Surviving is her son, Scott (Kathleen) Lowery of Tremont, IL and her three grandsons, Ryan and Kyle Lowery of Milwaukee, WI and Aaron Lowery of Tremont, IL.

Pat attended Bradley University where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She worked in banking for 23 years retiring in 1996. She was a member of the East Peoria United Methodist Church, the East Peoria United Methodist Women’s Association, Femmes UNIR Women’s Club in Bartonville, and the Tazewell County Home Extension. Pat loved going to her grandson’s school, sport and scouting activities.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10am at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Rev. Mary Arnold will be officiating. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the East Peoria United Methodist Church.
