Patrick Andrew Diaz

Sunnyland – Patrick Andrew Diaz, 63, of Sunnyland, IL passed away at 12:51 pm Monday, June 27, 2016 at O.S.F. ST. Francis Medical Center with his wife by his side. Patrick was born November 21, 1952 in Hamtramck, MI to Joseph and Delores (Scritchfield) Diaz. He married Deborah Noel on December 16, 1972 in Sunnyland.

Surviving is his wife Deborah of Sunnyland, two daughters: Angela Diaz of Sunnyland and Amy (Mark) Williams of Nixa, MO, two step-grandsons: Brennen and Trevor Williams, two brothers: Tim (Laura) Baginski of Sunnyland and Lonnie Diaz of East Peoria, and three sisters: Letriana (Greg) Cantrell of East Peoria, Christina Schmitt of Creve Coeur, and Bernadette Lato of Creve Coeur. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Patrick was a machinist at Caterpillar for over thirty years retiring in 2003. Following his retirement, Patrick worked for Uftring Chevrolet in Washington as a driver.

An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Patrick loved to ride. His hobbies included going to drag races, traveling to see family, an anything to do with motorcycles. Patrick was a member of Freedom Valley A.B.A.T.E.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am Friday, July 1, 2016 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Officiating will be Pastor Bob Martin.
