Reva Elizabeth Holcomb

She was born Jan. 7, 1928 in Madisonville, TN to Earnest and Creasie (Torbett) Atkins. She married Austin B. Holcomb in Dalton, GA on Aug. 22, 1948. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Eva Mae Wilburn.

Surviving are 3 children, Vicky (Jim) VanBruwaene of Peoria, Rocky (Vicki) Holcomb of Morton, Tony (Rose) Holcomb of East Peoria; 5 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Clinton Atkins of East Peoria.

Reva worked as a seamstress at Princess Peggy and in housekeeping at the Apostolic Christian Home before retiring in 1994. She was a member of Elmridge Southern Baptist Church in East Peoria. She was a good strong Christian woman who loved her family, friends, and working with her flowers.

The family wishes to thank all of the caring staff at Riverview for their loving care and support.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with Pastor Ken TerBush officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
