Robert A. Bloom

He was born on April 15, 1953 in Peoria, to Albert and Frieda (Yurk) Bloom.

Robert graduated from East Peoria High School and retired from Caterpillar after many years. He enjoyed watching movies, listening to The Beatles, and participating in Bible study. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his children, Beth (Don Trunnell) Martinez, Noah Bloom, and Jonah Bloom; numerous grandchildren; and his sister, Barb (Gene Kordick) Huxtable.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ben Bloom, and his brother, Larry Bloom.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mariah Maple for her kindness toward Robert and for opening her home to him during his final weeks.

Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
