Robert E. Rentsch

Pekin – Robert E. Rentsch, 66, of Pekin, IL passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Pekin, IL. Robert was born December 19, 1946 in Peoria, IL to Bennie and Edna Doty Rentsch. He married Delinda Sparkman on June 30, 1979 in East Peoria, IL.

Surviving is his wife Linda of Pekin, IL, daughter Melissa (Randy) Beard of Washington, IL, two grandchildren, his brother Terry (Sandy) Rentsch of East Peoria, IL and his sister Pamela Rentsch of East Peoria, IL. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Bennie, Jr., Larry, and Richard.

Robert worked for Road Equipment as a tractor trailer mechanic for twenty three years and most recently for Construction Materials as a concrete truck driver for eighteen years retiring earlier this year. Robert loved to spend his free time going to the stock car races at the Peoria Speedway, watching Chicago Bears football, collecting western memorabilia, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
