He was born December 5, 1961 in Pekin to Gerald and Marilyn (Norris) Reader. They preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons: Stephen (Ann Osborne) Strother of Creve Coeur, Gerald Strother of Peoria, Michael Strother of Tennessee, one grandson, Bradley Strother of Creve Coeur, and two brothers: Steve Reader of Tucson, AZ, and Mike Reader of Iowa.
Ron was a United States Navy veteran. He was a self-employed contractor specializing in roofing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a celebration of Ron’s life at a later date. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
