Sue Carol Martin

Sue was born August 10, 1933 in East Chicago, IN to Stanley and Dicie (Craig) Brite. She married Dail O Martin on October 21, 1950 in Michigan City, IN. He survives.

Also surviving are her three children, Gregory (Sara) Martin of Sheboygan Falls, WI, Karen Martin of Desert Hot Springs, CA, and Connie (Daniel) Schultz of East Peoria; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Nate) Martin-Tilton, Emily Martin Loprena, Nicholas Martin, Samantha Martin, April (Brad Altman) Wolcott, Sunshine (Jason) Elder, Brittney Hardin, and Hannah Schultz; one brother, Dr. William Brite; eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Brite.

After her husband's retirement, Sue and Dail traveled in their RV across North America before landing in Peoria. Sue and Dail continued to be snowbirds but never lost their love of traveling and going on cruises. Sue enjoyed singing as a child in church and offered her talents as a Music Director at the many RV Parks they visited well after retirement. Sue will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and sister.

A funeral service will be on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. A private family burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery near Springfield.
