Mr. Jim H. Purcell

Mr. Jim Purcell, age 85, of Atlanta, formerly of College Park, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010. Mr. Purcell was a veteran of WWII and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He retired from the Ford Motor Co. and was a member of Cliftondale United Methodist Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Purcell and a daughter, Gloria Purcell. Survivors include, son, Jimmy and wife Diane Purcelle, Riverview, FL, grandchildren, Tonya and husband, David Guillory, Alpharetta, Sam and wife Meghan Purcell, Atlanta, Brennan and wife Magen Purcell, Dalton, great granddaughter, Reese Purcell, brother, Al and wife Barbara Purcell. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at 12:00 o'clock at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home 2968 East Point St, East Point, GA 30344. Interment at College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
