Lucy Beckham Mims, age 94, of East Point, GA, passed away Dec. 31, 2014. She was of the Baptist faith. After raising a family she returned to work at Progressive Lighting where she was employed until retirement. After retiring she worked with her son at Four Seasons Sporting Goods for 25 years having reached the age of 90. Her concern for people was apparent in her tireless work ethic. She is survived by her son: Harold Carlton Mims. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Sumner, GA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at Historic Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home 2968 East Point St., East Point, GA 30344 from 4-6 pm.
