

Mrs. Marguerite Conway Harden, 93, formerly of East Point died peacefully Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Jonesboro, Georgia. Mrs. Harden was a member of East Point First Baptist Church. She retired from the Fulton County School System where she taught for over 30 years and was cited for Teacher of the Year on several occasions. She loved teaching and had many wonderful memories of all the children she was blessed to have in her classes. Mrs. Harden was considered to be an innovator in education. One of her biggest accomplishments was being an early pioneer of teaching lessons on closed circuit TV in Fulton County. Mrs. Harden was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Conway; her husband, John Wesley Harden; and her six brothers, Whit Conway, Glen Conway, Guy Conway, Scott Conway, Paul Conway and Bill Conway. She is survived by her son, Dr. John W. Harden, Jr. and wife Jackie and her daughter, Kay Likins and husband Bruce. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren David Bertany, Wes Harden and Jennifer Shuler. A memorial service will be held at East Point First Baptist Church on Tuesday, Jan. 25 ,2011 at 2:00pm, with visitation an hour preceding the service.
