

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Oxford of Camden, TN. and her husband of 60 years, J. Kenneth Blair also of Lookout Mountain,Tennessee.
She is survived by sisters-in-law JoAnn Blair Lewis of Cleveland, Tennessee, Virginia Blair of Hixson, nieces Linda Biggs (Tom) of Ooltewah and Pat Mink (Charles) of Knoxville, Tennessee, great-nephew, Kevin of Ooltewah and great-nieces Sonja and Krista of Knoxville,Tennessee; cousins and aunts in Camden, Tennessee.
Ann was a member of First Centenary United Methodist Church and the Hodge Sunday School Class. She was very active in serving the church in many capacities as a volunteer in the office where she assisted with the 1st Centenarian Newsletter and has published the UMW Directory. She held several offices in UMW including President, Vice-President, and Treasurer and was a member of UMW Circle 1 and 3. She was First Centenary UMC Unit UMW President as well as UMC Unit UMW Secretary of Program Resources. She and Ken were also faithful greeters.
She held other positions prior to April, 1961 when she started her 25 year career at Combustion Engineering, Inc. Her abilities ultimately earned many awards as a professional secretary.
She joined the National Secretaries Association (NSA) in 1974 which became Professional Secretaries International (PSI) in 1980. In 1998, PSI became the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), and she was chosen Chattanooga Chapter Secretary of the Year in 1988. Ann served in every office of the Chattanooga Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals including 3 terms as Chapter President in 1982-1983, 1983-1984, and again in 1996-1997. She served the organization for six years on the Tennessee Division of IAAP Board of Directors, including Division President in 1990-1991. She also worked with the Chattanooga City Farmers.
A memorial service will be held at First Centenary United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11 A.M. with Dr. David Harr officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 9:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the church. A private graveside service will be held afterward.
The family wishes to express appreciation to Dr. Michael Stipanov and Tennessee Oncology, Dr. Todd Cockerham and staff, Hospice of Chattanooga and many friends for their special prayers, cards, and gifts.
