Mrs. Sewell was born in Chattanooga to the late Vernon and Josephine Jones. She was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. She was previously employed at Brown Middle School Cafeteria, Town and Country Restaurant and also the Read House.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edgar Sewell; and son, Steven Charles Sewell.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Joy) Sewell and Don (Vicki) Sewell; grandchildren, Steven Sewell, Sarah Pierce and Katie Barnhill; and great-grandchildren, Avery Vandergriff, Charles Sewell, Jacob Barnhill, Evan Pierce, and Wesley Barnhill.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
