Mrs. Sparks was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama and was a member of Ooltewah Church of Christ. She had been previously employed at Chambliss Home, Team Evaluation Center and Orange Grove. She will always be remembered as a devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Donald E. Sparks; son, Robert Sparks; grandson, Leland Burgess; parents, Robert and Robbie Gilbert; and sister, Mary Jo Wilkinson.
Surviving are her children, Donna (Albert) Baca, Rickey (Debbie) Sparks, Larry (Loretta) Sparks and David Sparks; daughter-in-law, Jane Sparks; grandchildren: Eric, Michelle, Andrew, Mandy, Ryan, Summer, Jason, April, Sara, Tony, Joshua and Nicole; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister, Janice (Jesse) Morris.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday and 12 Noon to 1 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
