She was born on May 20, 1929 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Eugene A. Prokop and Elizabeth Ediin Prokop and moved to Chattanooga in her early teens.
Mrs. Hill graduated from the University of Chattanooga where she received a Bachelor of Chemistry degree prior to beginning work at Tennessee Eastman Company in 1951. She met and married her husband of 57 years, Edward Hughes Hill, in 1952. She worked in the Research Department until she resigned in 1959 to raise her children.
Mrs. Hill was a long-time member of the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd in Abingdon, VA, where she served on the Alter Guild for many years.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Hal Hill and his children Scott and Audrey of Chattanooga, TN and her daughter Rosalind Hill Cantrall, husband Jeff and their children Alex and Greg of Manlius, NY.
The family will have a private service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
